Essential qualification : Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board/ university.
OR
Must possess valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License.
Age limit : 18-28 yrs.
Pay scale : Rs. 5200- 20200 Grade Pay Rs.2000/-
Selection procedure :
The eligible candidates shall be issued Admit Card to appear in the
recruitment test. The date and place of recruitment test will be indicated in Admit Card. Candidates will have to undergo the following tests:
(a) Documentation - The candidates reporting for the test have to produce
original testimonials/ certificates attached by him with the application form.
(b) Physical Standard Test (PST) - Candidates found eligible in documentation
will be screened first for height, chest and weight measurements.
(c) Physical Efficiency Test (PET) - The candidates found eligible as per
physical measurement will be required to qualify physical efficiency test consisting
of following events: -
(i) 1 mile race to be completed in 6½ minutes.
(ii) * Long jump: minimum 11 feet
(iii) * High jump: minimum 3.6 feet

How to apply : Eligible and desirous candidates should send their applications in the prescribed proforma with attested passport size photographs duly affixed on the application form and admit card and duly completed in all respect to The Inspector General, FTR HQ (SSB), Patna, Rukanpura House, Baily Road, Patna (Bihar)-800014. The last date of receipt of application form is 30-Aug-2010. (Last date is 7-Sept-2010 for the candidates from far-flung areas).
